I didn’t quite have the record at the time but it was only when I wrote “Mama” and finished writing it about six months ago I just knew he had to be the person singing it. I was inspired and knew I wanted to work with him on a record at some point. I was a massive fan of what he was doing and how he was making these covers his own.
